Festival Season is Here!

Festival

Celebrate your dance studio this Festival season!

Festival is happening across the globe right now for every Arthur Murray, and is a fun opportunity for us as a studio to compete against other studios and be awarded for our accomplishments. With the support shown by you, our growing student body, and our stellar dance instructors, we continue to be a further recognized studio in the Arthur Murray community.

Starting this week, whether you are a student in Napa or Santa Rosa, if you sponsor your dance instructor, perform a spotlight, bring a friend to a group class, and other activities, you will start earning points!

With these points, you will gain a chance to win cool prizes and awesome freebies!

There are different levels of sponsorship to choose from. Check with your instructor or studio manager to help you pick which one is best for you.

Make sure to pick up a Festival Flyer to check out the dates, and party themes at your studio.

We appreciate you showing your spirit in supporting our team, and the love we have for ballroom dance!

What an incredible Showcase journey we took this weekend.

It could not have been more amazing! Having the opportunity to dance with our students in their flapper/20's attire, and see them shine through the countless heats, made us oh so proud. Of course, everyone felt a little bit nervous at the beginning, but as we got on the floor we soon saw that all melt away. Through their performances we watched the excitement build, by the time the night was over, everyone wanted to keep dancing!

We really saw the difference it made to our students at Arthur Murray's, and how it brought out a new found confidence in each of them. Here are some highlights from our weekend!

Your Body & Brain On Dance

How often are you dancing?

Whether you’re young or old, making dance a daily habit is actually super good for you!

Brain Health

Through practicing the art of dance, you will not only greatly improve your physical health, but your mental health as well. Studies show dancers have greater strength, flexibility endurance, and balance. Ultimately, it’s not just a workout that improves your body, but your mind too.

Did you know that dancing 30 minutes a day increases your brain function, and supports better emotional health? On a variety of levels, dancing improves cognitive function, and increases your muscle memory. Having to think quick on your feet while combining rigorous exercise increases blood flow to the brain, which sends information more quickly, creating new neural pathways. This process over time, improves our overall mental capacity, and general well being in our day to day live.  Dancing naturally helps us to reduces stress levels, and symptoms of depression. Looking for more joy in your life? Just dance!

We've teamed up with Alzheimers Association, whose studies have found that frequent participation in ballroom dance showed a 75% risk reduction of dementia.

Our goal is to spread awareness of the beauty, and benefits of dance with the world.

The motto, You + More Dancing =Ultimate brain power & ultimate super-human skills!
