Today we caught up with professional & amateur certified examiner, judge, and coach Bobby Gonzalez.
In addition, to being a member of the National Dance Board for Arthur Murray International Inc, he takes time to travel, and coach students by sharing his passion and knowledge of ballroom dance.
Here’s what he had to share with us!
Q: What’s your first memory of dancing?
A: Watching my Mom Dad slow Dancing in the living room when I was very young.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Anything outdoors, running, hiking etc.
Q :Do they help with your dancing?
A: Yes, sometimes I’ll teach 50-70 lessons a week and being active outside of dancing gives me the needed stamina.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about going to competitions?
A: I get to see my friends and I love the atmosphere of the ballroom, it’s electric!
Q: What do you like about Arthur Murray?
A: AM allows me to share my love for dancing and connecting to new friends everyday. I get to travel the world and see lots of new places. The best part about AM is that’s where I met Kate.
Q: What is your favorite food?
Q: What was the hardest part for you studying ballroom dance and how did you over come?
A: The Foxtrot was a big learning curve for me but became a favorite of mine, if you stick with it you’ll get it.
Q: Cats or dogs?
A: Both! I love animals
